PA SANDBLAZERS

Our winter training program is designed for competitive female athletes (grades 7–12) looking to develop their skills in 2-on-2 beach volleyball. Training will be held indoors on hard court, with outdoor sand sessions at Wilson Farm Park when weather permits.

Players will train in a team environment but focus on individual skill development. Tournament play is optional, and athletes can choose their own partners for events.

Beach Doubles Winter Training Program

Doubles Winter Team Season: 

November 19th - May 3rd 2026

*Summer 2026 beach team will be treated separately, that season being May–August 2026*

 

Program Structure:

Maximum capacity: 32 spots in the program: (16 players MAX per team)

We will play doubles volleyball on hard court during the winter, travel to sand courts for tournaments, and get outside to Wilson Farm Park anytime that the weather permits during winter season. Although a team atmosphere, the primary focus is for players to develop their individual skills. For tournament play, travelling is optional and partners are chosen for each tournament by the athletes (can find a partner in or out of the club)

 

Who’s welcome? 

Any female 7th-12th grade can be evaluated and considered.

Team structure:

Full Program (FLAME) and Half Program (EMBER)

Flame is 2 practices per week, Ember is 1 practice per week.  

 

Practices:  

Wednesday Evenings: 5-7pm

Sunday: 11-1 or 1-3

Every Other Friday February, March, and April: Play night/clinics 6-8pm 

 

(No practice the week of Christmas/New years)

 

Location:

Grand Slam USA (hard court/indoor doubles)

Wilson Farm Park (sand doubles when weather permits above 45 degrees)

*Regardless of where the practices are on a given day, we will always be training strictly doubles (2on2) beach volleyball strategy. 

 

Coaches:

Director: Alivia Orvieto

Coaches: TBA.

 

Tournaments (optional): travel/tournament entry fees not included

*All tournaments will fall between January 1 - May 3*

3 Local Tournaments (Driving distance)

2 Travel Tournaments (Somewhere down south–FL, GA, AL, SC, etc)

*Waiting for 2026 tournament schedules to be released by providers such as P1440, USAV, GAV, AAU, etc

*Beach volleyball is an independent sport, so players are welcome to attend additional tournaments on their own outside of club listed tournaments*

 

Player Tuition:

Flame:

$2500/player

 

Includes:

  • Coaching at all practices and listed tournaments

  • Gear package (tank, shorts, t-shirt, visor, backpack)

  • Free summer team tryout (April 2026)

  • Bonus: 10% off Orvieto Athletics small group strength training

  • Friday Night Play/Clinics March, April, and May
     

Does not include:

  • Tournament fees (Typically $30–$100 each)

  • Player memberships (AAU, USAV, etc. | $25–$100/year)

  • Personal travel costs

 

Ember:

$1300/player

 

Includes:

  • Coaching at all practices and listed tournaments

  • Gear package (tank, shorts, t-shirt, visor, backpack)

  • Free summer team tryout (April 2026)

Team Selection process:

 

Looking for players who are all around athletic, great foundation of skills, and a high level of volleyball IQ. Players do NOT have to have a strong foundation in doubles strategy: we will teach you!
